What was the most valuable piece of career advice that you received?
That being indispensable is un-promotable, that it is important to build your team’s capability as well as your own, and to work as a team with clear identified outcomes.

What was the worst piece of business advice that you received?
That you can advance your career by getting a new job every two to three years.

What advice would you give to someone starting their career in the tech industry?
To have the right attitude to learn, and that to be able to change and adapt to new and constantly evolving technologies is critical to growth.

What tips would you give to someone aiming for a c-level position?
That you need to be a hybrid personality. Be a combination of an individual that is business savvy with analytics and also when it comes to organisational design, and learn to bring both sides together to become a holistic-thinking individual that supports growth.

Are you particularly proud of any career advice that you’ve given or the career route/development of anyone you’ve mentored?
When someone asks for my advice, I simply tell them that it is very important to be self-aware and that they must constantly learn and evolve to remain relevant.
